Dealership Midline Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated automotive technician to join our service team. In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to help ensure safe, reliable performance and a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate brings solid technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic inspections and identify mechanical, electrical, and performance-related concerns.
- Complete routine maintenance services, including fluid changes, brake inspections, tire services, and general vehicle checks.
- Repair and replace parts and components as needed according to manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Accurately document findings, repairs, and recommended services.
- Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members regarding vehicle status and repair progress.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive maintenance, diagnosis, or repair preferred.
- Working knowledge of vehicle systems, repair procedures, and diagnostic methods.
- Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment in a professional service environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record may be required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a dealership or franchise service department.
- Familiarity with manufacturer service procedures and warranty processes.
- ASE certification or similar professional credentials.
- Experience using digital inspection and repair documentation systems.

Work Environment
