Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Dealership Service Advisor. The Service Advisor will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and guidance while coordinating with the various departments within the dealership. This role requires excellent communication skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner, understanding their automotive service needs.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and the dealership's service departments, including the automotive technicians, parts department, and sales team.
- Schedule service appointments efficiently and manage the service timeline to ensure prompt completion of work.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and accurately document any issues or concerns reported by the customer.
- Provide detailed estimates of repair costs and explain the recommended repairs to the customer.
- Offer additional services or maintenance packages based on vehicle condition, manufacturer recommendations, and customer requirements.
- Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicle service, including any delays or additional repairs required.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely and accurate ordering of necessary parts.
- Communicate with technicians to ensure they clearly understand the customer's concerns and verify that all repairs are performed correctly.
- Maintain accurate and organized service records, including all work performed, parts replaced, and customer communications.
- Collect and process payments from customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness of invoices.
- Address any customer complaints, concerns, or disputes promptly and professionally.
- Stay up-to-date with automotive technology advancements, manufacturer recalls, and service bulletins.
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor, preferably in a dealership or automotive service environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work under time constraints.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems and software for scheduling, estimate generation, and record-keeping.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
